White box appartments  is a residential project located in Mesabelies, an area at the south part of Heraklion city in Crete. It’s a three storey building based on a pilotis which residential program consists of a loft appartment (70 sqm)  and piloti garage at the ground floor, a bigger apartment (110 sqm) on the first  floor and two appartments with attics on the second floor. The design of this project aims to a simple form like a box with a complex functionality as it is a three storey building with different layout in every floor. 

It’s a mystery box which as a form has an introversion,  but as a function comes out with extroversion. At first its given an impression of privacy for the interior apartments  in a dense urban (ιστος) but with extroverted elements such as big openings, and large (ημιυπαιθριοι χώροι) , there is a filtered and controlled connection to the outer space and the surroundings, an attitude which redefines the urban living  in a mediteranean city such as Heraklion.
