White on top is a residential project located in Mesabelies, an area at the south part of Heraklion city in Crete. Its residential (building) program consists of a small apartment and a garage at the ground floor, and a bigger apartment on the first floor. 

The main compositional principle was the integration of both apartments with the outer space, the use of psysical light as a compositional element, and the exploitation of orientation for bioclimatic   design. The design of this building is a path to a unique living experience  through the prism of sustainable living and building. Interior living experience is designed to feel like outdoor experience and vise versa, through the prism of protection. The purpose of the first design aim was accomplished through the use of big openings in the living spaces, and for the second, the exterior space was designed as an open-space room with distinctive openings through the view to the park.
